Homotoxicology, also known as Bioregulatory Medicine, is a system of medicine developed by Hans Heinrich Reckeweg in the 1950s to build a bridge between conventional medicine and homeopathy.
Reckeweg realised that disease patterns have changed over the years with chronic illnesses becoming more common than acute illness.
He developed the idea that illness is the result of ‘homotoxins’ that is substances that are poisonous to man. They can arise from the environment or be present in the body as the result of the organism being unable to eliminate them.
Homototoxicology utilises highly dilute combinations of remedies which have actions to stimulate the body’s own defensive systems in order to facilitate detoxification and drainage, immunomodulation and organ support.
Homotoxicology is a modality that is becoming ever more popular throughout the world. It has a reputation for treating illness gently with little or no side effects and can by used effectively alongside other modalities both conventional and complementary.
Homotoxicology is supported by a growing body of research undertaken at universities and independent research institutions worldwide.
Bio Electric Functions Diagnostics (sometimes called BFD or Biodiagnostics) is a system of scanning the body through the acupuncture points and identifying which organs or systems of the body are underfunctioning or have an infection or inflammation. An EAV (or Vega) machine is used for this purpose. It is a useful tool to use alongside knowledge of homotoxicology, homoeopathy or nutrition.
